Market Days @ The Cultural arts Center - Vendor Packet

Below, you’ll find all the details you need for a successful market day

    • March 22nd

    • Hours: 12-6pm

    • Address: 2880 Mountain Road, Glen Allen, VA, United States, Virginia 23060

    • The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen

  • Load in: 10 am (please don’t show up before 10am)

    Where to pull up your car to load in, by space location:

    • Lobby - Park at the front entrance (you'll see pillars leading up to the door)

    • Galleries - Enter through the garden or lobby. Park to the left side of the front lot or around back at the loading zone to access the garden

    • Ballroom- Enter via the loading zone next to the garden. pull your car around the back to get to the loading zone.

    Look for either market direction signs or a volunteer if you are unsure where to load in.

    Move your car to the back of the parking lot, after loading in/before setting up to make room for other makers to load in. *

    Load out: Do not start packing up before 6pm.

    We encourage vendors to barter and shop with each other from 5-6pm

    Review the map below before loading in. Your space will be marked with your business name

    *If you leave before 6pm without notifying us, you will not be invited back.

    For exceptions find Marie or Jaid, we understand.

  • With 40+ vendors and hundreds of shoppers, parking needs to be made available to shoppers as a first priority.

    After loading in, before setting up, move your car to the back of the parking lot.
    Ask Marie for exceptions and let us know if you need help loading in.

    We’re running ads and have local press, but it helps us reach more of the right people if we teach meta who might walk through the door.

    The more you share and post about the market, the further our ad dollars will go. Please help us reach YOUR potential customers.

  • A. $65 indoor space with room for a 6ft table ONLY
    B. $90 Indoor space with room for a 6ft table and ~3ft of rack or side table space. (LIMITED)

    You should have received a Square invoice and an email from hello@rvamakersmarket.us.
    Payment is due now.

    Once payment is received, you will be added to the content calendar.

  • Your space type can be found on your invoice.
    6ft tables and chairs are provided. byo racks/shelves/small tables if you paid for an XL or double space


    Standard indoor spaces have room for one (1) 6-foot table. NO additional racks, small extra tables , or rugs permitted.

    XL - room for 1 6' table and one rack/shelf no more than 3- wide

    Double space - Indoors. room for 2 6ft tables. let us know if you are using racks or alternative displays so we can place you accordingly.

  • decorations, signage, business cards, stickers, pen, paper, table cloth, card reader, cash for change, hand sanitizer, extension cords, lighting, hotspot, etc.

    NO RUGS for 6ft spaces

    OUTDOORS, bring everything above plus:

    10’ canopy tent, sunscreen, water bottle, TENT WEIGHTS (your tent should tell you how much weight is needed per leg. 40 pounds per leg is average), battery/solar lights, rug, tent walls in case it’s too sunny/windy/ rainy, bungee cords or string, weights to hold displays down, etc.

    1 tent is available to rent for $20.

  • Please respect your neighbor’s space. Only two people can be behind your table at any time.

    Be mindful not to block others with large chairs or tall racks.

    This is a rain or shine event.

    *important reminder* Out of respect for those on the waitlist, you are only authorized to sell items that are handmade by YOU.
    This is a curated market and your placement on the map is based on the category of items that you are selling.

  • Ask Marie or a volunteer to order food or get you a drink.

    Food Truck will be outside with some concessions inside including beer and wine.

    Coffee Cart too!

  • Do not come if you are not feeling well or if you have been in contact with someone who has contracted COVID. In this case, your fee will be transferred for a future market.

    refund/credit requests should be made 14+ days before the market date.

    Vendor fee is due immediately. If you cannot pay your fee on time, contact us to let us know, we can work with you.

    After three reminders your invoice will be canceled if we do not hear from you and you will not be eligible for future markets.

    No shows/no calls will not be eligible for future events and programs.

    We’ll use this info for content creation, so let us know if you have any specific language we should use.

  • All Makers are REQUIRED to post, share, and comment on posts about the market.

    Sharing posts in your stories from other makers that will be at the market, shows all of our followers that we, as makers, support each other.

    Makers who are exceptionally active in sharing, commenting, and tagging other makers on our roster, will be highlighted / given priority to be featured in our posts and ads.

    Send me the posts or tag @rvamakersmarket ON THE PHOTO to make sure we see it.

  • Bathrooms are located near the center of the building, across from the galleries.

  • From 5-6pm we encourage you to visit other maker’s tables. Ask if they are open to trades.

  • Beginning May 8th 2024, we have implemented a late fee of 15% to cover the additional costs of chasing down unpaid vendors and finding last minute replacements.

    Invoices paid more than 7 days after the due date incur a 15% charge.

    Your invoice may be cancelled if we do not hear from you 24 hours after your reminder email on the 8th day.
